Woody gets a boner over American Apparel ad.

Funny, you'd think the lolita-esque nymphs they traditionally feature in their ads would appeal to him...

But seriously, he's suing them because American Apparel used an image of Allen in one of their ads without payment or compensation. Here's the story:

http://www.reuters.com/article/marketsNews/idUSN3143294520080331

And I have to say, this picture of Woody with Scarlett Johansson is kind of gross; a shot of a dirty, old man ogling a much, much, much younger girl in a swimsuit. (and I should point out, this is not the image in the ad that he is suing over; I think it's a promotional still from one of the Woody/Scarlett film collaborations.)

The only reason I would take up winter sports...

some vintage beefcake...ok, it's not THAT vintage; I'm guessing late 70's or 80's. If the owner of these fantastic buns is still alive, I'm guessing he's in his 40's and hopefully, still has some fizz in that bubble butt.

Children of Men to become TV show!?!?!?

Battlestar Galactica and Bionic Woman producer David Eick is working on adapting P.D. James' novel, which was also a recent critically acclaimed film by Alfonso Cuaron, into a television series for the SciFi Channel. No word on when this will actually be ready to air; Eick is currently working on a pilot script. He told SciFi.com:

"It's really taking root more in the origins of the novels in that it will focus on the cultural movement in which young people become the society's utter focus," Eick (Battlestar Galactica) said in an interview at SCI FI Channel's upfront presentation to advertisers in New York on March 18. "Much like our culture, whenever Lindsay Lohan does something [and] it becomes the headline of every news show, it's about how, when you don't have a responsibility to the next generation and you're free to do whatever you want, where do you draw the line?"

Eick added that Children of Men will question how society defines responsibility, freedom and a sense of values when it doesn't necessarily believe humans will survive as a species. "So it's a very compelling, I think, human question that science fiction has always explored extremely provocatively," he said. "It's not really a war show like the movie was. It's more an exploration of that issue."

This is one of those things that could rock, or really suck, but I'm going to think positive thoughts about this. After seeing, and loving, the film version last year, I left the theater thinking that Children of Men would have been a great television series with an opportunity to explore all aspects of life in a world without children. It could be a fascinating show.

But, I'm guessing that Clive Owen isn't going to be involved, so there IS a downside to this project...

Pregnant Man is incredibly beautiful...

This story seems like it MUST be fake, but it's supposedly been verified with his doctors...Here's the original story in The Advocate:

http://www.advocate.com/exclusive_detail_ektid52947.asp

For some reason, ABC News has gotten very conservative and assholy lately...they have a negative story about this on their website, which I'm not linking to 'cause they suck.

Am I the only one who thinks that Leonardo DiCaprio is a natural to play this guy in the inevitable movie? There's a pretty striking resemblence...

Why Taschen is the greatest book publishers in the world...

This book has already been out for awhile...and I'm guessing it's been a best seller for the company. I mean, who doesn't like a book devoted to big honkers and hooters?

So it's not a big surprise that the Teutonic pole smokers at Taschen are bringing out THIS for June, (have you noticed how so many gay things get released in June? I guess the homos like buying gifts for each other during gay pride...)

The cover image is the safest one I can post and keep my site relatively clean. For naughtier images go to the Taschen website where you can pre-order the book. There's some very iconic schlong in this book, both gay and straight, including a gorgeous shot of a very young Kristen Bjorn with his juicy, fat wang being pressed up against a window. I'm guessing, this baby is going to sell out and hopefully will get re-printed.

Here's a blurb from the website:
When it comes to pleasure, size doesn’t matter; as we all know it’s quality, not quantity, that counts. But let’s admit it: a big penis is undeniably compelling. Big shoulders, big lapels, and big hair may come and go, but the big penis never goes out of fashion. With those possessing more than 8 inches (20 cm) making up less than 2% of the world’s population, this rare accessory will always fascinate.

In this companion volume to The Big Book of Breasts, we explore the centuries-old fascination with the large phallus, a fascination common to men and women alike. This hefty book is profusely illustrated with over 400 historic photos of spectacular male endowments, including rare photos of the legendary John Holmes. The majority of the photographs are from the 1970s, when the sexual revolution first freed photographers to depict the male entirely nude. Photographers include Bob Mizer of Athletic Model Guild, David Hurles of Old Reliable, Colt, Falcon, Sierra Domino, Third World, and Champion Studios, with each of these iconic photographers interviewed or profiled, along with information about each of their models.

I went to see Danielli play at the Comet last night...

Five seconds after leaving the house, my friend Chelsea and I were freezing and wet and whining that we should have stayed home. But our constant bitching took our mind off the horrid weather and we got to the Comet by 10.30pm. We'd timed it just right; the first band was finished and Danielli was setting up. I desperately needed a beer and made my way to the bar, but it was packed 5 deep with the hip and the cool and there was only one surly female bartender making drinks. I quickly lost patience, went next door to King Cobra (no cover, not much going on, maybe 15 people in the place) and got me a beer. It was very peaceful in there but after drinking about half the beer I realized I had better get back to the Comet to see Danielli. I'm way too chicken to smuggle a beer out of a bar, so I had to leave half the beer behind which bugged me because I don't like to be wasteful, but I can't chug beer (it makes me puke; yes, I'm a wussy) and it was only Manny's which isn't my favorite kind of beer, (King Cobra didn't seem to have a very large selection of on-tap beer, but to be fair, I didn't ask). Went back and enjoyed Danielli and was amused to see a couple people from the #8 bus that I see almost every day, but don't talk to and Chelsea and I were out of there and home by midnight.

Yes, I have an action packed life, but the main point of this post is to bitch about the crappy service at The Comet. I know they're famous for it, but c'mon...how hard is it to staff a couple bartenders on a Thursday night at a Pike St bar when you have 4 bands playing? I mean, even no-name bands will pull in at least 10 people and you had some bands on there with a following. They should have known they could have a crowd of 70 or 80 people all wanting a drink or two.

Guess the Drag Queen...

The website, The Sword, had a contest a couple weeks back where you had to guess the identity of gay porn stars from their baby pictures, (more accurately, pre-pubescent). They have a new contest up where you have to do the same, but with famous, currently known, drag queens...Here's the link:

Can you guess who this little Minnesotan chub-chub is? It's probably one of the easiest ones...

Couple arrested for fucking in church...

MACCLENNY, Fla. -- Baker County deputies investigating a report of a suspicious person at North Prong Cemetery Church found a woman inside and a man hiding under the church. They told investigators they broke in so they could have sex on the altar.

Arriving deputies said they found the door of the church on county Road 210 busted out and undergarments scattered on the floor. They found Crystal Ann Rowland, 24, hiding behind the pulpit and Matthew Thomas Pearce, 28, hiding in the crawl space under the church.

Pearce told deputies that he had Rowland were drinking when she told him she wanted a "spiritual and sexual experience." Deputies said Rowland broke into the little-used church located next to the North Prong Cemetery near Sanderson.

from this website: http://www.news4jax.com/news/15652175/detail.html
and I originally heard about this on Perez Hilton: http://perezhilton.com/

NORTH PRONG!?!?!? WTF?

It's like a porno version of The Great Gatsby...is North Prong ritzier than South Prong?

112 year old Clint Eastwood to make new Dirty Harry film?!?!?

Warner Brothers just announced that Clint Eastwood has been signed to star and direct Gran Torino a mysterious new project that is being fastracked to quickly shoot and be ready for release by December. This is puzzling as Eastwood has another film he directed, the Angelina Jolie starring "The Changeling" coming out in November, in time for awards consideration, and it's unusual for a major filmmaker to release films so close together. The hot new rumor, is that this is actually a new Dirty Harry film, with a retired Harry Callahan coming out of retirement to avenge his grandson-cops death! Ain't it Cool is printing this rumor, and some guy in the L.A. area who was selling a '76 Gran Torino has come forth to say that someone from Warner Brothers wanted to buy his car for use in a new Dirty Harry movie. This could all be bullshit, but it's sort of interesting that Eastwood chose THIS year, an election year, to produce a new installment of his rather right wing Dirty Harry franchise...

As a gay man who's not that interested in cars, or Clint Eastwood (other than the thought that 1960's era Eastwood was extremely fuckable), I have to admit that this is sort of a brilliant idea. And that car, familiar to Starsky and Hutch fans, is pretty fucking cool, even if you're not a car nut...

I used to be a "Trey" but now I'm going "Matt"

Matt Stone is aging much better than Trey Parker and he looks waaaaay better with short hair...though I do likes me some Jewfro...

I don't have cable so I wasn't able to catch the new South Park episode last night. It was their take on Britney Spears and was apparently pro-Britney and anti-papparazzi. Frankly, it's a 50/50 thing for me; they both feed off each other. And it's interesting that they treat Britney far more sympathetically than they did Paris Hilton, in the notorious "Junky Whore" episode.

And as for Britney, it's interesting to note that since mom and dad re-entered the picture, it seems she is doing much better. It seems obvious that her mental health issues were drug related, both prescribed and non, and she's now apparently taking the right kinds of drugs in the right kinds of dosages. That, or maybe the parents have her so drugged up, she's just a docile zombie; regardless, it's an improvement over her previous lifestyle of driving to Starbucks and Jack in the Box at all hours of the day and night and sleeping with her Papparazzi Hunk of the Moment...

Ivan Dixon makes three.

OK, he's not quite as famous as Arthur C Clarke or Anthony Minghella, but actor Ivan Dixon was a groundbreaking actor. He originally started on the stage and appeared in such films as "A Raisin in the Sun" and "A Patch of Blue" but was best known for his role as communications wizard, Sgt James Kinchloe on the long running 1960's P.O.W comedy, "Hogans Heroes". Kinch never got a lot to do on "Hogan's Heroes", but the character was an integral part of the team and the part was written with dignity; Kinch was never portrayed as a stereotype. Frustration with the size of the role led Dixon to leave the show in 1970, but his television experiences as an actor allowed him opportunities to become one of the first African-American television directors, helming hundreds of hours of such shows as "The Waltons" and "Magnum:PI".

Ivan Dixon, aged 76, died in Charlotte, NC from complications caused by kidney failure and was survived by his wife of 58 years.

"Hogan's Heroes" was a weird show. Part comedy and part adventure story, it managed to effectively combine the two and had the balls to make a WWII comedy about wacky Nazis only 20 years after the end of the war. (There were some protests; some Jewish groups AND some German groups objected to the frivolous nature of the show.) And Ivan Dixon was very good as Kinch and really an important part of the show. Bob Crane's Hogan and Dixon's Kinch were the only two "normal" characters on the show, the straight men to the zany antics of the broader drawn characters. The Germans were cartoon Germans and LeBeau was a cartoon Frenchman and Newkirk was a cartoon Cockney and Carter was a cartoon country bumpkin but Hogan and Kinch were just regular guys that got to deliver some funny lines but their main job was to be the sane center of the show, Hogan as the main character and Kinch in backup.

And I always thought Ivan Dixon was kind of sexy. He had a great voice and a stong masculine presence in all the roles he played. He was very, very good in the movie "Carwash" as the primary paternal figure for the other carwashers. Dixon was an actor that if he'd been born a generation later would have had better opportunities to play more important roles and could have had a major career as an actor.

And, who's left from "Hogan's Heroes"?; this cast is pretty much decimated. I think the only ones left are Robert "LeBeau" Clary and Richard "Newkirk" Dawson.

And interestingly enough, Clary, John "Schultzie" Banner, Werner "Klink" Klemperer, and Leon "General Burkhalter" Askin were all Jewish and Robert Clary was an inmate of Buchenwald concentration camp and was the only member of his family to survive the Holocaust. Banner was also imprisoned by the Nazis in the mid-30's but was released and managed to escape to the US.

That damn spermy dress is back in the news...

per ABC News: http://www.abcnews.go.com/Blotter/story?id=4482242&page=1

Hillary Was in White House on 'Stained Blue Dress' Day
Schedules Reviewed by ABC Show Hillary May Have Been in the White House When the Fateful Act Was Committed

Hillary Clinton spent the night in the White House on the day her husband had oral sex with Monica Lewinsky, and may have actually been there when it happened, according to records of her schedule released today by the National Archives.

And since when is ABC so anti-Hillary? The line about "may have actually been there" implies Hillary was in the room when Bill spooged on Lewinski...WTF?!?!?

America's fascination with a 10 year old, $30 Gap dress covered in presidential splooge makes us the laughing stock of the world...let's move on.

NEXT!

Cancer Watch 2008

Sadly, both Anderson Cooper and Dame Maggie Smith are battling cancer. The CNN megahunk known as the Silver Fox had a small growth removed under his eye on Monday, but will be back to work tomorrow night.

Dame Maggie is undergoing chemotherapy for breast cancer, but is well enough to continue filming the penultimate Harry Potter film, "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince" and is still set to star in another film, "From Time to Time" after the Potter filming is finished.

We hope they get well soon...Strangeways/Sideshow loves us some Foxy and our favorite Miss Brodie...

Danielli/Tea Cozies/Daguerreotypes at the Comet Tomorrow Night

Don't be a loser: GO and have some drinks and hear some slammin' music...Show starts at 9pm. Oh, the opening band before Danielli is Kiss Her For The Kid. The poster doesn't list a cover charge, but most shows at The Comet are in the $5 to $8 range I believe...And Danielli lead singer/songwriter Kerri McGar's Birthday is the next day, so hang around to midnight to see her get drunk. I think she's turning 28...or 38...or 48...something like that...

also sad.

Arthur C Clarke, author of 2001: A Space Odyssey and more than 100 other books, dies at age 90 at his home in Sri Lanka.

Well, that's two celebrity deaths in the last 24 hours...one more to go.

Shocking!

Last week in a post, I joked about the fact that the new governor of New York, legally blind David Paterson was unlikely to follow disgraced, ousted governor Eliot Spritzer down the adultery trail, with the implication that it would be difficult for a blind man to cheat on his wife. Well, the egg is on MY face, because both Paterson and his wife Michelle have admitted that during a rough patch in their marriage during the late 90's and up to 2001, that they both had extramarital affairs. The couple sought counseling and have reconciled and decided to come forward with the revelation after rumors began circulating in Albany about their previous estrangement. The couple decided it was best to be candid now rather than wait for the story to emerge later, and further tarnish their administration and the Democrats in New York.

I think it was wise, and gutsy of them to do this. It's the lies and cover-ups that ruin political careers, so it's best to just own up to any prior misdeeds and just get on with it.

And I learned a valuable lesson to not ASSUME that the blind can't also be horny...

Sad

Anthony Minghella, the Academy Award winning writer and director of The English Patient, Cold Mountain, and The Talented Mr Ripley, is dead of a hemorrhage at age 54. It is reported he may have been battling cancer of the tonsils, and had a growth removed from his neck last week.

I have to be honest and admit I'm not a huge fan of his work; his films were a little sterile, and frankly, a little dull, but he was a competent journeyman director with an eye for visuals. All three of his major films were beautiful to look at it, both well designed and photographed and Minghella had an eye for composition. It might not be the greatest accolade for a filmmaker, that you left the theater humming the scenery, costumes and set design, but film IS a visual medium so I guess there are worse things, like not remembering the films at all. (And I would still kill to have that robe that Ralph Fiennes wore in the sex scene in The English Patient!)I always thought Minghella was a writer/director who would have benefitted from having a strong writing partner with a gift for editing; it might have helped make the films sharper and tighter, (but a lot of filmmakers would benefit from such a partnership; it can help cut the flab off of the film). Regardless, Minghella was a well-liked liked and respected member of the film community, and by accounts, a generally nice guy and he will be missed.

His last project, an adaption of the best selling book, The No. 1 Ladies' Detective Agency, was a joint production of the BBC and HBO and will premiere in the UK, later this month. He is survived by his wife, a daughter, and his actor son, Max who is best known for his work in Art School Confidential.

Losties rejoice: Richard Alpert is coming back to LOST!

Yes, everyone's favorite mysterious, ageless Other with the perpetual eyeliner, Richard Alpert will be back for at least one episode. Actor Nestor Carbonell left Lost last year to co-star in the CBS show Cane, leaving the fate of his character up in the air and fans pissed off that it looked like they may not discover any answers as to the origins or motives of a character who seemingly never aged. Fortunately for fans, and probably pretty sucky to the actor who lost a gig as a co-starring regular, Cane was axed which freed ABC to make a deal with Carbonell. And hopefully, they signed him up for enough episodes to answer all the questions raised by his actions on the island.

Yes, I'm a Lost nerd...so sue me. We all have our little nerdisms...

Sorry, but Strangeways/Sideshow was FAAAAR more entertaining than Slog's Freaky Friday...

I'm not usually a cocky kind of guy, but I did have some good shit on my blog today, including a quote from a fringe celebrity. The best the freaky Sloggers could come up with, were pieces on parking and water bottles and lots of assorted crap....

Grade wise, here's how it went down:

Mr Poe and It's Mark Mitchell: A- for levity and humor. Of course, the whole gay thing helps, too. Gotta look out for my limp wristed bruthas.
Big Sven: B- cause the thing about his mom made me cry. He had some other good posts, too.
Aislinn: C and only because she's adorable and talked to me last night. Her posts were ok, but the late start hurt her.
Everyone else: D for Dull

UPDATE: Aislinn got bizzy late in the day with some good stuff so she gets upgraded to a B-
Geoffrey Infrequent gets upgraded to a C 'cause he posted cute pix of himself and a kitten
Excelelizabeth did a good piece on hookers and the divine Bob Ross so she goes to a B-

Thanks to Amy Kate for the link to me!!

I love you all...but in my own way.

And yes, a tiny number of people do read my inane little blog, so raspberries to my frenemies...

Scissor Sisters Jake Shears working on Tales of the City musical!!

Armistead Maupin's "Tales of the City" is getting the tuner treatment, with a Broadway-aimed musical adaptation in the works from "Avenue Q" book writer Jeff Whitty plus Jason Sellards and John Garden, two members of the band Scissor Sisters.

WTF!!!!! This is either the BEST thing ever, or a potential mega mess...but I'm hoping for the Greatest Story Ever Told!!!

http://www.variety.com/article/VR1117982387.html?categoryid=15&cs=1

"Jason Moore ('Avenue Q," "Shrek') will helm the show, which follows the idiosyncratic characters encountered by a young Midwestern woman in 1970s San Francisco. Produced by 'Avenue Q' producers Jeffrey Seller, Robyn Goodman and Kevin McCollum, 'Tales of the City' hopes to hit Broadway during the 2009-10 season. Budget for the developing show has not yet been determined, although creatives and producers expect a large-scale musical that, like the original book, follows the storylines of nearly a dozen major characters. Seller estimated capitalization would cost no less than $10 million. Plot of the musical will focus on the 1978 novel 'Tales of the City,' the first of seven 'Tales' books, with elements from the second novel likely included as well."

I'm moist as a snack cake about this very exciting news...

UPDATE: The adorable Tom Judson, aka Gus Mattox

REPLIED to an email I sent him this morning regarding his story in the NY Times and the Times referring to Chi Chi LaRue as MS LaRue. Here's part of Tom's reply:

LOL! Mike, I asked the same thing of the author of the piece and he said
the Times absolutely has a defined stylistic
treatment of drag queens and it happens to be the same as I use in
conversation. i.e. the title matches the gender
of the name being used. If I had referred to Larry they would, of course,
have used Mr.

Amazing, huh?

This is the reply I just sent him:

Amazing...

There's a Sulzberger spinning in their grave, somewhere...

And Clare Boothe Luce is vomiting in hell.

I love Tom Judson...here's the perfect man...He's a showtunes fag, a handy man and a porn stud. Plus, he can write and he's freaking adorable.

He needs to be cloned.

NOW!

I don't have much desire to see the new version of "Funny Games"

or for that matter, Michael Hanecke's original German language version. Torture porn, regardless how intellectual it may be, is still torture porn and NOT my cup of tea. I'm not a huge fan of violence in films, unless it's highly stylized. I didn't even watch "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" for the first few seasons because I didn't groove on the violence, cartoony though it may be. (I love it fine, now, thank you)

But "Funny Games" has always had a certain allure for me, due to these images.

In fact, I loved that image so much, I used it in a painting I did over a year ago. It's not a great painting, because I'm not a great painter and I don't have an image available to show to you, but I'm kind of proud of the painting. For some reason, that image of the boy in the pillowcase, and the no goodnik hoodlum next to him, (who's about to do some serious harm to the boy) really resonates with me. But, I've always liked imagery involving masks and hoods; a lot of people do, obviously, and NO, I don't have a kink for masks or hoods. In practice, they both make me claustrophobic and sick. But they fucking look cool in pictures and paintings.

Here's another image from that scene:

And a shot I've never seen before.

The box cover of the DVD.

And the poster for the new English language version with Naomi Watts, Tim Roth and Michael Pitt. Normally, I'd bitch that they went with an image featuring the beautiful woman in peril, but this is a really gorgeous image.

I haven't heard anything from the new album, Hard Candy, yet but..

I'm already tired of Madonna in her latest incarnation as the re-animated and botoxed corpse of Marlene Dietrich. I'm disappointed in her; I had hopes she would grow old gracefully and not go the overly surgically enhanced route...AND, she hasn't been seen with husband Guy Ritchie, at any of her big, recent public events like her enshrinement into the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame...is somethin' up?

Face made for radio, gets fired...

The incredibly unattractive John Gibson, the rightwing asshole and radio/tv commentator who has said some really repulsive things over the years, most recently some shitty remarks about Heath Ledger when he passed away, has been canned by Fox News. He will continue with his radio show, and Fox insists he'll still have a role in television, but he's definitely on the back burner for now.

Hopefully, they'll forget about him and he'll burn to death...

Slog is a bit....

dull today...Freaky Friday is always a bit of a snooze. Lots of high hopes, but ultimately, a lot of disappointment.

Blogging is not that hard, people...

But apparently, being interesting, is....

David Lyle is an ultra photo realistic painter...

and I'm not sure how I feel about that...I like these pieces, but I keep asking myself, are they necessary? Are these just copies of existing photographs, or are they trying to say something else? Is it the art that is failing, or is it me?

I really wish there was another layer of something with these paintings. (and what that something is, I could't tell you, but it just seems like there needs to be another layer of meaning here...)They seem like they are on the verge of something wonderful, but can't quite get there. The artist is fairly young; hopefully, he'll eventually get there. Or, I will...

oh, I forgot to mention I got this from Juxtapoz and you can check out David Lyle at:

Well, I did go to the SLOG party last night...

and it was fun...scary, but fun. I went to the gym at Seattle Central after work and managed to generate enough endorphins to get me motivated to head over to Havana at about 7pm or so...I ordered a Mojito and nervously stood around for awhile, because I'm NOT good in social situations where I don't know anyone. I'm an extroverted bigmouth with my friends, and I have no problems being on stage or speaking in public, but I'm awful at one on one with strangers, or group/social things which would help explain why I bomb at job interviews and finding dates...

After awhile, I found the pile of nametags and properly labeled myself, (which I'll cherish forever; the tag has a place of honor in my wallet, next to some elderly condoms...) and Gillian Anderson, the copy editor, came over and introduced herself and that, and the mojito, got me relaxed enough to get in the swing of things. I chatted with several Sloggers and Strangers and enjoyed my ONE drink and managed to make it home in time to see the tailend of Survivor, (thank god they booted the useless gay coughdrop known as Chet, and boo-hoo that Jonathan had to quit due to an amputated leg) and was comfortably situated for some intense "Lost" viewing. All in all, it was a good night.

Here are some pictures and observations of the people I spoke with...

Gillian

She is charming, and we had nice, long conversation about "Lost" which confirmed that we are, indeed, both geeks...but, adorable lovable geeks, not the kind that decapitate chickens...

Amy Kate

Amy Kate is one of those pocket people. They're so fabulous, you want to put them in your pocket and keep them forever...which is also sort of creepy when you think about it...I also think I horrified her with a long pointless story that involved the making of pornographic films, so I've pretty much clinched, not ever being asked to Freaky Friday...

Rainman

A witty fellow, who looks NOTHING like Dustin Hoffman...and, he has dual citizenship...zexy!!

Paul Constant

He's exactly what you would expect a Book Editor to be...

Mr Poe

I'm not easily intimidated, but Mr Poe IS a little intense...If Mr Poe had been around in the 1880's he would have either been Oscar Wilde's greatest friend, or most bitter enemy...

Ecce Homo

Word of warning: if you type in "Mr Burns naked" into Google Image, you get some very, very disturbing results...people are fucking SICK, man...

One of these characters will die tonite on "Lost"

But, which one? And, will it be on the Island, or in a flash-forward?

And the remaining two of the "Oceanic Six" are revealed...which must mean that Aaron is NOT considered one of the Six...

I can't wait...

Update
Well, we found out that it's JIN who croaks sometime in the future and it must be AFTER they get off the island, because he seems to be buried in Korea. And Sun has a healthy baby, so since she's currently about 13 weeks pregnant or so, in Island time, and the Deadly Maternity Disease strikes women in the second trimester, that means that the Oceanic Six must get off the island, in the next few weeks, Island timewise...

This episode was disappointing to me, esp. after the hype...I hate Lost episodes that bounce around too much...Lost works best if they focus on one story. On last nights episode we bounced around from the beach, to the freighter to Jin's flashback and Sun's flashforward over and over again...It was annoying. And I really hated the way they handled the death of the Zoe Bell character on the freigher; really, really stupidly conceived and shot...it had no meaning and you felt nothing emotionally when it happened.

I'm giving this episode a C+. Next weeks Michael centered episode, had better be good and there really had better be a good death in it...
