5 Reasons to watch the Academy Awards...

1)Host Hugh Jackman might accidentally fall out of his clothes.
2)I want to see Waltz with Bashir win Best Foreign Film...hopefully
3)The emotion of Heath Ledger winning a posthumous Oscar
4)The production numbers for the two nominated songs from Slumdog Millionaire might actually be entertaining.
5)All 9 of the young actors who play the three various stages of the three primary characters in Slumdog will be there. The charm of these 9 performances, (esp the youngest three) is one of the primary attributes of this sweet, but slight and overpraised film. Here's a story about the two young actors who actually are Mumbai slum dwellers preparing for their trip to Hollywood. And, here's a link to the best scene in the entire film, the big ending credits/traditional Bollywood dance number and the Oscar nominated song Jai Ho. (You might not want to watch if you haven't seen the film...)

Picture is of the youngest actors accepting their SAG Awards for best ensemble in a film, in Mumbai (all 11 principle actors got an award, but 7 of the 9 young actors didn't attend the ceremony in Los Angeles, last month.)
