There's rumors circulating around about this...it seems far-fetched that the Republicans would so blatantly "copy" the Democrats and even try to one up them by having a Black, Female VP nominee. I don't think swarms of Obama/Hilary supporters are going to dump their candidates because they think Condi is the best of both worlds, and she doesn't have that many fans among Republicans. In fact, anyone tainted by the Bush Administration is screwed in that regard for at least the next 4 years. And would the McCain people even want her? They have a serious problem that they have to find a VP nominee who'll balance out McCain and please the Conservatives but won't be too extreme to piss off the moderate rank and file who comprise most of McCain's support. They have to come up with a VP candidate who is perceived as being somewhat to the right of McCain but not too extreme. That's not going to be easy.
Then again, Condi has proven she can do a shitty job. Prior to the Glorious Uber-Fuhrer Dick Cheney, the post of VP was pretty much the shittiest job in Washington. Condi has done an amazingly shittastic job as Secretary of State for the last couple of years; she would probably flourish in the role as worst Vice President ever.
Then again, is America ready for a Black, Female, (perhaps) Lesbian VP? And if they are, wouldn't they prefer Queen Latifah?
