Dial Mr F for Murder...(do ya get the reference?!? huh, do ya?)

Vanity Fair routinely gets a lot of publicity for its annual Hollywood issue, traditionally issued during Oscar month. This year, there's a lot of talk about their Hitchcock tribute photo spread; they took a couple dozen contemporary actors and put them in iconic scenes from his best known movies. They're pretty hit and miss, esp the ones that feature scenes from the Grace Kelly Hitchocks. Gwyneth Paltrow is incapable of filling Grace Kelly's bra, let alone her shoes in the To Catch a Thief homage, and Scarlett Johansson looks like she wandered in from a community college production of Auntie Mame in the shot from Rear Window, (but Javier Bardem looks damn good, channeling some sexy, unknown Latin aspect of Jimmy Stewart).

Only the delicious Charlize Theron is able to capture the true essence of Grace Kelly, the ability to stand in the key light and look ravishingly beautiful...

And Charlize is a MUCH better actress than Grace Kelly. Could you imagine Princess Grace playing a Mentally Retarded Female with a British accent and a tendency to wear clothes inside out and roll down hills whenever she felt like it? I think not.
